MXD was retained by Blackstone Developments Inc. to conduct a development strategy for Waterford Station in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The commercial component of the Sixty West master planned community, MXD conducted a retail market analysis to determine the optimal retail mix for Waterford Station. The MXD team also worked with the architect and master planning group to optimize the site plan in a way that the commercial development could be implemented through a phased “modular” approach as demand was warranted. MXD recommended anchor and inline retail tenants that would be most feasible for the development based on a retail gap analysis.
