Enhancing Calgary International Airport’s competitiveness with strategic landside development and unique catalyst projects.
MXD Development Strategists was retained by the Calgary Airport Authority to prepare a Land Development Strategy for landside commercial properties at Calgary International Airport. MXD assessed and defined the optimal mix of uses and development typologies for the landside parcels based upon an economic and real estate market analysis. MXD then undertook a cost/ revenue analysis for each landside development district that considered each opportunity area’s residual land value, and value based on fee simple market comps. MXD also explored and recommended unique catalyst projects that would act as competitive differentiators for Calgary International Airport, both from a local commercial development perspective, as well as against other Canadian airports.
