Strategic Land Development Framework for New Parish and Community Hub
MXD Development Strategists was commissioned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary to explore strategic development opportunities across its land holdings in support of a new parish church and broader community vision. MXD’s mandate focused on evaluating how complementary, revenue-generating land uses could be thoughtfully integrated with the core faith-based facility to create a vibrant, multi-use hub for worship, community gathering, and quality of life. The work involved assessing market demand, development feasibility, land use strategy, infrastructure considerations, and phasing to establish a clear and implementable framework for long-term development. This initial stage provided the Diocese with a strategic direction that aligns mission-driven objectives with financial sustainability, forming the foundation for more detailed technical, servicing, design, and financial analysis in subsequent phases.
