Optimizing commercial potential at Cairns International Airport with strategic land-use planning and market-driven solutions.
MXD provided consultancy services for the uniquely situated Cairns International Airport. Commercial development lands including the Commercial Enterprise Precinct and Aviation Enterprise Precinct were examined for their optimal mix of commercial land-uses. A development program was generated which matched the market opportunities for the site with land availability and strategic infrastructure investment. Conceptual site planning was provided as well as financial analysis to test project feasibility and to develop a phasing schedule.
