Project Description
Creating a sustainable Rural Urbanism Community west of Devon, blending natural preservation, recreation, and innovative living spaces.
MXD undertook market analysis, site planning and urban design work to inform an Area Structure Plan (ASP) submission that would create a Rural Urbanism Community west of Devon, Alberta. The rural urbanism concept included a significant proportion of lands preserved as natural areas and recreation space, particularly in the river lowlands, as well as golf, agricultural uses, education, a retreat and conference center and compact clusters of various densities of residential development.
