Empowering Sakimay First Nations with a strategic development plan for dynamic land use and sustainable economic growth near Regina.
MXD was commissioned by Four Horse Developments Ltd., a subsidiary of the Sakimay First Nations in collaboration with CTA to conduct a Market Analysis & Development Strategy for Sakimay East and West Lands located near the City of Regina. MXD undertook economic and market analysis to garner an understanding of the development potential of the East and West Land sites. Land use demand analysis was conducted to determine the supportable mix of land uses which included retail, employment, and hotel. Conceptual layout planning was performed to allocate the development program on the ground through the identification of a conceptual site configuration and layout as well as a buildable area plan and circulation strategy. The final task included financial analysis to understand the value that could be generated from the recommended development program.
