Project Description
Shaping the Sochi 2014 Olympic Village into a vibrant, lasting destination for residents and international visitors alike.
Working with the Master Plan Design Team, MXD provided strategic direction on the allocation of land uses for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Village site. This process included identifying potential key locations and anchor uses to stimulate visitor flow from the waterfront through the ecological components and into the commercial village. A key challenge and opportunity for the proposed development was to create long standing appeal for the residents of Sochi, while at the same time creating a destination for the increasing number of visitor volumes and international guests that will be drawn to the waterfront location.
