Advancing Beaumont’s Economic Future Through Integrated Land Use Planning and Innovation
Guiding future growth in Beaumont, one of Edmonton’s fastest-growing communities, MXD prepared a Market and Economic Assessment to define the optimal mix of commercial and industrial uses for a key strategic Area Structure Plan (ASP) site. The study analyzed local and regional economic drivers, emerging sector opportunities, and innovative development typologies to align land use planning with market realities. Drawing on stakeholder engagement and best practices from leading innovation districts, MXD delivered a strategic roadmap for the ASP to attract investment, stimulate growth in target sectors, and support long-term employment generation for the City of Beaumont.
