Redefining Kelowna’s waterfront with a visionary redevelopment strategy creating a dynamic urban hub for future growth.
MXD was retained by Holar Developments to assist in the redevelopment strategy for the Kelowna Mill Site, the last piece of urban waterfront in the City of Kelowna. MXD performed a market and demographic analysis to determine the optimal mix of uses on the site that would inform the design plans for the architectural team. A placemaking and phasing strategy was also undertaken to establish a framework for how the site would be built-out over a twenty year period. The Mill Site is located within the city’s North End Plan which is projected to be the highest density area of Kelowna over time, providing housing and amenities to thousands of new residents.
