Southwest Florida International Airport Skyplex Development Strategy
MXD has conducted ongoing work for Southwest Florida International Airport on their airside and landside real estate holdings since 2022. A detailed concept plan and development strategy for the Skyplex lands was established through a multifaceted market, economic, and infrastructure analysis. Extensive stakeholder consultation with developers, local businesses, and economic development agencies identified targeted end-user tenants. A costing and financial analysis established the foundation for phasing and potential capital stacks. MXD continues to be involved in the permitting, implementation, marketing, real estate offering, and deal structuring for Skyplex alongside a team of valued professionals.
Outcome:
The land use plan and development strategy created by MXD (alongside Stantec and Cushman & Wakefield) has been used to generate significant development interest at Skyplex on the
northside of the airside system.
